Twenty-five years of getting people where they are going
Established in 1999, 2nd Chance Travels is registered with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL), and the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA). We are actively participating as members of the Travel Agents Association of Sri Lanka (TAASL) and the IATA Agents Association of Sri Lanka (IATA-AASL).
In the present, 2nd Chance Travels consistently ranks among the top three sales performers for major airlines, earning numerous awards for our unwavering dedication. Our primary focus is on issuing air tickets for both business and leisure travelers. Additionally, we are excelling in crafting packaged tours to renowned global tourist destinations, always prioritizing customer satisfaction.
Our story
It started in Wennappuwa
The company was established in the suburban town of Wennappuwa, Sri Lanka, in the year 1999. Having received IATA accreditation in 2007, the company embarked on a journey with a primary goal of providing reliable and quality travel options to many travelers from within the North Western region of the country. The company soon expanded its presence to other cities and currently have the largest travel branch network in the country.
The continuous growth and success of the travel business in Sri Lanka inspired us to take our footprint overseas with the opening of our two offices in Milan and Verona (Italy), office in Melbourne (Australia), followed by the establishment of the newest office in Dubai (UAE) in June 2022.

1999
Sri Lanka
Since our inaugural branch opening in 1999, we have expanded our presence to encompass 8 branches in our motherland.
2011
Italy
Our first branch outside of Sri Lanka, established in 2011 in Italy, marked a significant milestone in our global expansion. We have since continued to grow our presence with two branches in Italy, located in Milan and Verona.
2013
Australia
Our expansion to Australia in 2013 marked a pivotal moment in our global growth. This strategic move has since allowed us to provide exceptional travel services to customers in Australia.
2022
UAE
The opening of our branch in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2022 represents a pivotal step in our expansion journey.

However, my unyielding determination and tireless effort allowed me to overcome these challenges. It's a source of immense pride to be acknowledged as one of the youngest achievers in our industry.
